July 2010: We are proud to announce that, after they selected one of our yachts as finalist of the International Superyacht Awards in 2009, the International Superyacht Society has accepted WERNER Yacht Design as one of their members. We are particularly proud because the society represents the best that builders and designers around the globe can offer.
June 2010: Resently Theo Werner has been interviewed by the editors of the glossy TopNautic about WERNER Yacht Design. They publised their interview, spread out over six pages, in April of this year. You can find this interview at "Home > Press". Note that the publication is written in Dutch.
May 2010; In December of last year we signed the contract for the design of a 30 mtr Motor yacht. After the sketch design were approved, we began working full steam to realize the final plans and calculations. We have gone to great length to give the design a graceful and elegant appearance; not an easy task to full fill concidering the modest length of the yacht. That we have succeded, you can see that for your self: 98 ft. Raised Pilot House
April 2010: Last winter the editors of the Dutch motor yacht magazine 'Motorboot' set out to test the Alm Delfino 66 Trawler. We can already let you know that the editors were very impressed with the design, layout and performance. If you would like to read the complete story: "Home > Press". The article has been written in Dutch. That might be an obstacle for you, yet you may still find it interesting to open it, as it shows a many photographs.
February 2010: A few articles covering the 79 ft. Semi Classic, build by Mulder Shipyard and the Boarncruiser Retro 50, build by Jachtwerf De Boarnstream have been published in the past few months in Boat International Russia, Nautique and De Waterkampioen. You can find these publications at "Home > Press". Most older articles have been revised significantly to make them better accessible with slower internet connections.
November 2009: The Boarncruiser Retro 50 has been nominated for European Power Boat of Year Award 2010. The judge report speaks of a friendly and warm yacht, rarely seen on (semi custom) designed yachts. A few years back, the Boarnstream also won the Dutch Hiswa Boat of the Year 2004 with another WERNER Yacht design.
September 2009: Like every year you can find us again at the Monaco Yacht Show at the designers gallery. The show takes place from September 23rd to 26th 2009 in Port Hercules in Monaco. We would be pleased to receive you at our stand DG17 and inform you about our most recent work.
September 2009: The International Superyacht Society awards every year the best yachts in various categories. Or in their own words: 'Honouring the best-of-the-best, this Award Gala recognizes the top builders, designers in the yachting industry.' This year our 79 ft. Semi Classic has been selected as finalist for this prestigious award. The winners will be announced at the annual ISS International Awards Gala, in October 2009, in Fort Lauderdale, USA.
September 2009: Although we will not attend the Hiswa te Water Boat Show 2009, you will find that quite a few new yachts presented on the show are from our drawing boards: 79 ft. Semi Classic, 66 ft. Delfino Trawler, Boarncruiser Retro 50 & 60, as well as the complete Intercruiser series. The show takes place from September 1st to 6th 2009 at the Marina Seaport, IJmuiden, the Netherlands.
July 2009; launch the Alm Delfino 66 Trawler. It turned out to be a unique yacht that combines a stout and sturdy character with elegant sweeping lines. She will be presented to the public for the first time on the Hiswa te Water Boat Show 2009 in IJmuiden, the Netherlands. Being the second largest motor yacht on the show she will certainly make a lasting impression.
May 2009; launch of the 79 ft. Semi Classic at Mulder Shipyard in Voorschoten, the Netherlands. Elegance in its purest form. In September 2009 you can be the judge of it yourself, as she will be at the Hiswa te Water Boat Show 2009, where she can be admired in full alongside the floating Champagne bar.
