Recently one of our clients found the burned out remains of Taora, a motor yacht built in 1963 by the Fairmile Construction Com- pany. Unfortunately the hull was too badly damaged to serve as a solid starting point for a refit. He there- fore asked us if we could design a yacht similar to the Taora. We gladly accepted and set off with a preli- minary lines plan, exterior design and interior lay out. Before Fairmile started to build yachts they built fishing trawlers, and that was quite apparent in the crudeness of the yachts. Starting from scratch however, enabled us to fine tune the yacht's lines so it can withstand today’s standards
